　　本次四级考的两篇文章分别是关于如何进行写作和一位女科学家讲述科学界的性别歧视问题。A卷先考如何写作，B卷的顺序则相反。

　　第一篇文章是关于如何进行写作学习，介绍了一本叫Writing without teachers的书关于写作的方法，把写作分为了creative thinking和critical thinking两个阶段。后面的五条题目中一道是词汇题，考第一段最后一句“cannot work in parallel”的意思，其余四道题目均是细节题，其中第二题对应原文第二段，定位有一定的难度，题干中prevent from writing on与原文第二段第一句话single greatest barrier对应。第三题与原文第三段对应，讲的是free writing的目的是to get words down对应Ｃ选项to get one’s idea down。第四，五题是对应第四段。文章结构与新东方阅读教材上Ｐ７２文章基本一致。

　　第二篇文章无论从文章内容和题目难度，均低于第一篇文章，讲的是一个女科学家在麻省理工读博士时遇到的歧视及随后心态所发生的变化。文章五道题目均是细节题，第一题对应原文首段，第二、三题对应原文第二段，第四、五题对应原文最后一段。所有的题干关键词与原文均是直接对应，其中难度最大当属第五题，对应最后一段的倒数第２句话：visual of their physics professor heavily pregnant doing physics experiment.“怀孕”(pregnant)一词对答案的选择起到决定性作用。但很多考生并不清楚该词的意思，导致无法做题。
